Our Story
Known as the beginning of Perlis Realty and Investments, a property deed from 1915 hangs in the lobby of the home office in Cordele. The Perlis Family has been immersed in community development now for five generations, and it is this sense of home-grown culture which drives our business practices today. Initially collecting rent in the upstairs office of the family department store in downtown Cordele, Ike Perlis groomed son Isadore and grandsons Louis, Lamar, and Marvin in the ways of family business. Louis continued into real estate development and management, and the fourth generation, Larry Perlis, joined the company in 1982 and relocated the management office to it's current location on 16th Avenue. Beginning in 2015, Lee Perlis, the fifth generation of Perlis Realty and Investments, arrived to take the reigns, and continue the tradition of producing stellar real estate projects with equitable, honest, and community minded dealings.
