Our Story
Known as the beginning of Perlis Realty and Investments, a property deed for land in Southern Crisp County dated February 1915 hangs in the lobby of the home office in Cordele. The Perlis Family has been immersed in community development now for five generations, and it is this sense of home-grown culture which drives our business practices today.
Retail At Our Core
Selling soft goods downstairs and collecting rent upstairs in the Fair Store, the family Department Store in Cordele, Ike Perlis groomed son Isadore and grandsons Louis, Lamar, and Marvin in the ways of retail, with an emphasis on family business. Louis continued into real estate development and management, followed by fourth generation Larry Perlis as he joined the company in 1982 and relocated the office to it's current location at 1220 East 16th Avenue. Beginning in 2015, Lee Perlis, the fifth generation of Perlis Realty and Investments, arrived to continue the tradition of producing stellar real estate projects with equitable, honest, and community minded dealings at their core.
